About Organization

Hope for Development Association (HDA) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization located in the eastern part of Ethiopia. Since its establishment in 2012 and registration with FDRE Authority for Civil Society Organizations, HDA has been dedicated to empowering communities and promoting sustainable development to combat poverty. With a focus on understanding and addressing the socioeconomic challenges faced by different villages, HDA facilitates open discussions and encourages active participation in decision-making processes. Through their various development programs, HDA aims to make a significant impact on poverty, which is considered a leading cause of marginalization and loss of life in the region. Join us under the umbrella of HDA to create a brighter future together.

 Foresees contributing to the eradication of poverty of the most marginalized part of the community and opts to see that the basic social and economic needs of the community fulfilled.

Mission

HDA’s

mission is to improve the living conditions of the needy and marginalized people at grass root level and find access to sustain in the society with due dignity. Therefore, HDA will take all necessary initiatives /measurer towards empowerment and self-reliant of community people enabling them to solve their own socio-economic problems by themselves towards poverty elevation.

Our Goal is

To help needy, marginalized and vulnerable people in eastern parts of the country socially and economically by providing them necessary assistance for sustaining their lives and conditions specially the women and poor as well. 

Aims and objectives of the Organization

HDA is working towards achieving the following objectives for the benefit of its target group the poor, socially and economically deprived people.
  • To increase primary education for all

  • To foster and support orphan children and disabled people.

  • Peace, conflict resolutions, democracy and good governance

  • To Create accessibility to drinking water

  • To Eradicate extreme Poverty and hunger

  • To combat HIV/ Aids, malaria and other diseases

  • To protect environment and ensure environmental sustainability.

  • Women empowerment organizing, mobilizing, developing capacity and skills and IGA.

  • To assist deserving poor people by means of giving them petty fund for creating income generating.

The overall management of HDA includes;

  1. The HDA’s Board of Directors consists of people from different walks of life who strongly believe in the capacity for collective action that can be catalyzed with technical and financial support to enable people to remove constraints to their social and economic development.
  2. The HDA’s Management consists of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and a team of technical specialists who provide the overall direction and leadership to the Association.
